Providing you with a safe space

All sessions are currently held online.

Online counselling and hypnotherapy offers a flexible, convenient, and accessible way to receive professional support from the comfort of your own space. Whether you're juggling a busy schedule, have mobility challenges, or simply prefer the comfort of being in your own environment, online therapy allows you to access support without the need to travel.

With online counselling, you can engage in sessions from home, during your lunch break or anywhere you can find a private space, making it easier to prioritise your mental well-being.

The virtual setting can sometimes feel less intimidating than a face-to-face meeting, which may help you open up more freely, while still benefiting from the same depth of understanding and care. Secure, private, and just as effective as in-person sessions, online counselling provides a convenient pathway to personal growth and healing.

My Services

  • Before we embark on your therapeutic journey, I will invite you to an initial consultation. This session allows us the opportunity to get to know each other better, giving you the space to share what brings you to counselling or hypnotherapy. We'll discuss your goals, concerns, and any specific areas you'd like to explore during our time together.

This is a perfect opportunity for you to ask questions, clarify your expectations, and understand how I work.

By the end of the consultation, we’ll have a clearer idea of how we can work together to help you achieve the changes or healing you’re seeking. Whether you're looking for support with specific challenges, personal growth, or simply exploring what therapy can offer, this initial consultation will lay the foundation for a collaborative and meaningful therapeutic relationship.

  • At the core of my practice is person-centred counselling, which focuses on creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore your thoughts and emotions. This approach allows you to guide the process, while I provide a compassionate presence to help you gain deeper insights into yourself.

In addition to person-centred counselling, I can also integrate psychodynamic therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches to further support our work together. Psychodynamic therapy helps uncover unconscious patterns and unresolved conflicts from the past, while CBT provides practical strategies to challenge and change negative thought patterns that impact your daily life.

Counselling can be beneficial for a wide range of issues, providing support for various emotional, psychological, and relational challenges. Here are some common areas where counselling can help:

Anxiety: Addressing generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, and performance anxiety.

Depression and Low Mood: Exploring feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or disinterest in life and developing strategies to improve emotional well-being.

Stress Management: Identifying sources of stress and learning techniques to cope with and reduce stress in daily life.

Bereavement and Grief: Providing support through the grieving process after the loss of a loved one and help to navigate complex emotions.

Relationship Issues: Improving communication, and navigating changes in relationships with partners, family, or friends.

Self-Esteem and Confidence: Helping to build self-worth, challenge negative self-perceptions, and develop a healthier self-image.

Life Transitions: Support through significant life changes, such as career shifts, moving, or adjusting to new roles (e.g., becoming a parent).

Trauma and PTSD: Assisting in processing traumatic experiences and developing coping mechanisms to manage symptoms of post-traumatic stress.

Phobias and Fears: Addressing specific phobias and irrational fears through gradual exposure and cognitive restructuring.

Personal Growth and Self-Exploration: Gaining a deeper insight into yourself, clarify values, and set personal goals.

Work-related Issues: Addressing workplace stress, burnout, or career uncertainty to promote work-life balance and fulfilment.

Counselling provides a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your feelings, gain new perspectives, and develop coping strategies to improve your overall well-being.

  • Adolescents today face a variety of challenges that can significantly impact their mental health and well-being. The pressure to succeed academically and socially can lead to heightened stress and anxiety, while the influence of social media often exacerbates feelings of inadequacy and isolation. Issues such as bullying, peer pressure, and the quest for identity can create emotional turmoil, making it difficult for adolescents to navigate their transition into adulthood.

Counselling can help young people build resilience and learn strategies to manage their emotional well-being during this critical phase of life.

I have experience of working with young people from the age of 12.

  • Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to help you enter a deep state of relaxation, often referred to as a trance. In this relaxed state, your mind becomes more open to positive suggestions and exploration of deep-rooted beliefs, behaviours, or memories that may be influencing your current emotional or mental state.

Unlike what you might see in movies and on TV, hypnotherapy is not about losing control. You remain fully aware and in control throughout the process. The goal is to access your subconscious mind, where many of our habits, fears, and emotional responses are stored, and to work on making positive changes.

Hypnotherapy can help with a wide variety of issues, including:

    - Anxiety and stress: It can help you reframe anxious thoughts and find a calmer mindset.

    - Breaking habits: Hypnotherapy is often used to support smoking cessation and overcoming other unwanted habits.

    - Improving self-esteem: It can boost confidence and self-worth by helping you challenge and reshape limiting beliefs.

    - Phobias and fears: It can help reduce intense fears or phobias by addressing the underlying triggers in your subconscious.

During our sessions, we will work together to uncover and reshape thoughts or feelings that may be holding you back, using relaxation techniques and guided suggestions to move you toward positive change.

  • Hypnotherapy for smoking cessation is a highly effective, personalised approach designed to help you quit smoking in just one focused session.

In the initial consultation, we’ll explore your smoking history, including your specific triggers, motivations, and the reasons behind your decision to quit. This session also gives me the opportunity to assess whether hypnotherapy is the right choice for you at this stage in your journey.

During the single 2-hour session, we will delve deeper into understanding the patterns and triggers that fuel your smoking habit. After this, I will guide you into a state of hypnosis, where we will work on rewiring those patterns and reinforcing your desire to become a non-smoker. This targeted session aims to help you take a significant step toward a healthier, smoke-free life.
